At Yaya Middle East FZ-LLC (“Yaya” or “we” or “our”), we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with the utmost care. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and share your personal information when you access and use the Yaya mobile application (“App”) and related services. This policy aligns with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021 on Data Protection.
1. Terms
The terms “you,” “User,” “Service Seeker,” and “Service Provider” pertain to individuals engaging with the App for any purpose.
“Personal Information” refers to any data about an identifiable individual, such as your name, email address, address, date of birth, and other particulars. This Privacy Policy aligns with UAE Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45/2021).
2. Our Commitment to Your Privacy
Your privacy is a top priority for us. We ensure compliance with UAE Data Protection Law and take measures to prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure of your data.
3. Information Collection and Usage
We collect and use personal information for purposes including, but not limited to:
•Providing services through the App.
•Supporting interactions between users of the App.
•Complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
•Delivering and optimizing advertising through third-party services such as Google AdMob, including personalized and non-personalized ads.
Legal Basis for Processing: We process your data based on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent, contractual necessity, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests (such as service improvement, fraud prevention, and advertising).
4. Information We Collect
•Registration Data: Information necessary for creating and maintaining user accounts, such as name, email address, age, and work experience.
•Interaction Data: Information about user interactions on the App, including communications with other users.
•Third-Party Services: Data collected when interacting with third-party service providers listed on Yaya’s platform.
•Job Listings/Applicant Data: Service Providers’ profiles, including work history, are visible to registered Service Seekers to facilitate job matching. Conversely, Service Seekers’ profile information is visible to other users for the purposes of job matching and communication.
5. How We Protect Your Information
We implement encryption (AES-256) during data transmission and at rest, access controls, and other technical safeguards.
In the event of a data breach, we will notify the UAE Data Office and affected users within 72 hours if there is a significant risk.
6. Sharing Your Information
•We do not disclose, sell, rent, or share personal information unless required by law.
•Data transfers outside the UAE will comply with UAE Data Office requirements, including contractual safeguards.
•Yaya is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party providers listed on the platform.
7. Data Processing and Retention
Your personal information may be processed and stored both within and outside of the UAE.
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for business and legal compliance, including records retention for a minimum of five years under UAE law.
8. User Rights
You have the right to:
•Access your personal information.
•Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data.
•Request data deletion unless retention is required by law.
•Object to processing and request data portability.
•Submit a verified request for any of the above, and Yaya will respond within 30 days.
9. Children’s Privacy Protection
The App is not intended for individuals under 18 without parental consent.
If we discover that a user under 18 has registered without parental consent, we will promptly delete their account and data.
10. Data Security Measures
We employ encryption, access controls, and other measures to protect user data. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
11. Sensitive Data
Yaya does not collect or process sensitive data (e.g., health, religious beliefs). Users are advised not to share such information through the App.
12. Advertising and Analytics
We use Google AdMob and other advertising partners to serve personalized and non-personalized ads within the Yaya App. These services may collect and process data, including your device information, usage patterns, general location, and app interactions, to deliver relevant advertisements and improve campaign performance.
AdMob may also use cookies, identifiers for mobile devices (e.g., Android Advertising ID or Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers), and similar technologies to collect this information.
Depending on your location, you may be prompted to consent to data collection for advertising purposes when first using the App. You can manage your ad preferences through your device settings or within the App where applicable.

On iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking

13. Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy and will notify users of any modifications via email, in-app notifications, or on our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
